In 2019 the marketing team decided that this year’s sale theme was going to be a Zombie thriller and Kung Fu “B” movie double feature. The goal was to create 2 full 60 second trailers intertwining the themes with our products, their discounts, and when possible, what the products do. At any given moment this campaign had about 9,000 moving pieces and in my 7 years at Onnit it remained the single most ambitious project. My role in all of it was mostly compositing, taking the vector lockups, the photos, the videos, and whatever else the team had produced to create the gamut of assets needed for the sale to happen. I was also tasked with the desktop and mobile landing pages. We do a full page takeover for our big disruptive sales so page layout was also on my plate. This was a legendary team effort between almost everyone in the marketing department and I’m very proud I got to play a part in it.
